About Us
Founded by Karen Van Riesen and Betty Good, Incredible Living helps people understand their own unique strengths and build respect and love for themselves and others. Using the science behind Dr. John Trent’s Lion, Otter, Golden Retriever and Beaver behavior styles and Rodney Cox’s Leading From Your Strengths online profile, they have used their background as parents, Educators and Professional Coaches to create an Interactive Adventure.
Karen has a background in education as a homeschooler and principal of Kimberley Christian School. She has a BA in Leadership and a Ministry and Master's Diploma in Christian Studies from Trinity Western University’s seminary, ACTS, in Langley, BC.
Karen is a Professional Coach and member of the International Coach Federation. She loves coaching people to discover their life’s purpose. She and her husband, Hank spent 5 years volunteering with Youth With A Mission in Perth, Australia before returning to Canada in 2005.
Karen and her husband have five adult children and 8 grandchildren. She loves spending time with her family, riding her bike and generally being outdoors. She has a passion for wooden boats and being near the water.
Betty's love for children and desire to see them reach their full potential drew her to the Incredible Creatures concept. For 19 years she taught primary grades in both public and Christian schools.
More recently Betty's life journey took her to Japan to teach conversational English to all age groups. Presently she teaches ESL to immigrants in Calgary.
Betty is a Professional Coach, helping women and men who are either going through transitions in their lives or are striving to achieve their goals and dreams. She is a member of Calgary Association of Professional Coaches and International Coach Federation. Her main passion is to make a positive difference in the lives of others, no matter what age!
Betty has always been active in volunteer work: in church, community, schools, theatre and overseas missions. She has three married children and is the proud grandmother of two grandbabies.

Dr. John Trent is President and Founder of Strong Families and The Center for Strong Families, a team of professionals committed to training and equipping lay and pastoral leaders to build strong marriage and family relationships in their home churches. Along with Rodney Cox, Dr. Trent is also one of the founders of Leading From Your Strengths and Insights International, creators of the Leading From Your Strengths online strengths assessment. This leading online tool is being used across the country to build strong family relationships as well as strong ministry and workplace teams. Dr. Trent’s main focus includes writing and speaking at retreats, conferences, business settings, churches and seminars across the country. In addition to being a nationally known family speaker, Dr. Trent regularly does keynote speaking across corporate America on teambuilding, recruiting and retaining outstanding employees.

Rodney Cox is Founder and President of Ministry Insights International, a ministry with the mission of transforming relationships globally. Rodney has a passion for developing oneness in the relationship between pastors and their staff, husbands and their wives, parents and their teens.
His heart's desire is to unify the body of Christ by helping everyone, everywhere, to understand and value the different strengths God has placed in the body. He believes that God intended for the diversity of strengths to complete relationships, not defeat them.
His life-long message, Leading From Your Strengths, has impacted more than 250,000 individuals both nationally and internationally as part of his growing Leading From Your Strength Movement. Rodney is a sought after speaker who challenges his audiences to build relationships based on their God-given strengths.
Rodney and his wife Beth were married in 1984 and live in Scottsdale, Arizona. They have two grown daughters.
